Push for upgraded road and cycling facilities​

This idea is being pursued on a number of fronts.

• The poor condition of Boneo Road has been strongly represented to VicRoads (the responsible authority) with the objective of having the road surface and verges upgraded and having cycle lanes or separate cycle paths added to promote bicycle use and safety. This has also been addressed to Mornington Council to seek their support and potential joint funding approach. This activity has been supported by Flinders Community Association
• We have include a case for a shared pedestrian/bicycle path along Cape Schanck Rd in our submission into the Mornington Shire Budget process, to separate cyclists, kids, pedestrians and dog walkers from the high volume of high speed traffic.
• We plan to raise with RACV the possibility of having better access into the pathways within the resort area for walkers and cyclists.
